boards of canada neverending era

one of the rare performers i never ever get bored of is Boards of canada - the duo of Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin. They have concerts rarely, almost never. First i ve heard them 8 years ago, as soon as first tunes came up, i wondered: what the hell is this shit? weeeird..hmm...i love it!!!
and then i fell in love with them, even now i still am. their music is so inspriring, old yet new, their synths dreamy and sometimes atonal, their samples bizarre, they are one and unique. i could write another post on PLAID because they are the closest band to BOC, but still different.

BOC have alltogether 3 LPs, lots of EPs and compilations.
Music Has The Right To Children was my first BOC encounter, still one of the best albums i ve heard. Geogaddi is somewhat darker, but beautiful. The Campfire Headphase is more optimistic, but still fucked up as the other albums ;)
fucked up-ness is a feature that good music needs to contain.

one of my friends described BOC recently: you know, you have a stove, an oily dirty stove. you play BOC and stains on that stove simply vanish, disappear. That s what BOC does to me.

their music is not so complex, they don t have many lines, couple of synths, rhythm and wicked samples. yet they create such a complex world. shamanic. as if they drink ayauasca, or eat LSD, or simply, they come from another world.

ok, that s enough of the video clips ( these are all home made clips since they don t even publish their owns.)
oh no, it s a lie, they do have ONE official video ( after 15 years) , here you go:

enjoy their music, because i surely am, was enjoying and will enjoy.;)
