in case you ll have some similair occurances i suggest you to listen to these songs. they help you to be even more fucked up..
this video is for cutting veins. who can resist this sorrow?
the next one is metronomy, this song has been following my love tragedies already for a year.
now let s go back to sweet nineties. one hit band is White Town with a great clip and even better song.
how could i leave out our queen of sadness and sorrow, one and only Beth Gibbons and Portishead. without them music would never become what it is now. if you want a band for the great world depression, portishead is more than adequate. for some people, including me, there is a side effect of the tears they arouse, that is the feeling of extreme satisfaction!!
another gloomy band which is one of my favorites is Blonde Redhead. as soon as you hear Makino's high pitched voice, you can only weep in beauty.
in the video that follows you can see Miranda July, performer and director (her debut was Me You and Everyone We Know - excellent movie!!!
next, the princess of twisted loneliness is Leila. she produced Bjork s second album Post and was hanging out with Tricky and the gang. still she remains unknown and creates weird electronic trip hop idm, i recommend her albums although people don t really grasp her at the first instance.
good old Mount Sims, the king of electroclash in early 2000's comes in 2005 with Ashes.
to end this sad terror here comes Grandaddy, one of the best american bands ever existed. they fell apart 2 years ago, that saddens me too.
well, if you listened to all these tracks, and if you re still cheerful, then you re not human!!!!
great post, it was so nice watching metronomy and whitetown. I know its hard to just put 5 on the list, for those who need more sorrow, i recomend this suprising fishspooner RITZ 107 and goldfrapp- Horse tears
