DM Stith

After couple of months I'm back with some fresh music posts.
DM Stith is NY singer/songwriter. I found him on some blog referred as being one of the best albums in 2009. "Heavy Ghost" starts with a piano based Isaac's Song which announces the mysterious world of this guy. His compositions are reminiscent of Anthony and the Johnsons, Sufjan Stefens, old acoustic Radiohead and Mercury Rev.

The second song on the album is melancholic and prophetic Pitty Dance.

Outstanding video represents the track BMB. Beth Gibbons's blues influence and Philip Glass' film music coined in one making an excellent soundtrack for your nights of melancholy and maybe love sufferings.

GMS is a touching piano track which reveals to the listener Stith's gloomy and mournful world. As if it came from a dream you had another night but you can t remember what had happened.

Heavy Ghost will satisfy any demanding listener who decides to go through an intimate musical experience.
